Foundation Garden Renovation in Media PA
The finished foundation garden in Media, PA, with new plantings, fresh mulch, and clean edges along the lawn.
Our crew at One Thousand Hands Horticulture refreshed an overgrown foundation garden at a home in Media, Pennsylvania, with new planting and freshly defined bed edges. The project called for removing old plant material and installing replacement plants according to homeowners association (HOA) specifications.
Reshaping the garden beds
We removed the overgrown plantings being replaced and cut new edges around the garden. In the work photo, white lines mark the proposed bed boundary as a crew member works beside the house. The curved outline carries the foundation garden around the corner, giving the front and side of the home a continuous planting area.
White markings outline the new bed edge while our crew works on the foundation garden.
New planting within HOA specifications
With the beds prepared, we installed the new plant material to meet the HOA’s requirements. We used Bio-tone fertilizer during planting and finished the area with mulch.
The finished view combines larger shrubs with smaller new plantings, with open space between them. The fresh bed edges follow a clear curve around the house, separating the garden from the lawn and giving the planting a more orderly appearance.
