Community spaces deserve the same level of care as private backyards. At Pauline A. Young Park in Ardentown, Delaware, the playground area needed a durable surface to anchor new equipment and provide a safe, stable play space.

We began by mapping out the footprint and re-grading the ground.

Proper prep was essential here: geotextile fabric, compacted aggregate, and careful leveling set the foundation.

Once the base was in place, we installed a TECHO-Bloc paver patio with a strong edge detail to keep everything locked in.

The pavers create a surface that can handle constant foot traffic, withstand the elements, and still offer a clean, finished look. Around the patio, the re-graded soil ties smoothly into the surrounding park, ready for grass and playground installation.
This project reflects a core theme in our work: whether public or private, outdoor spaces should be built to last and serve the people who use them. By investing in preparation and high-quality materials, Ardentown now has a park feature that will support the community for years to come.

We complete projects like this throughout Ardentown and the surrounding Delaware and PA communities, where public spaces need the same structural care as private ones. Work of this kind falls within our hardscaping and masonry services, particularly when durability and long-term performance are non-negotiable. When the base is prepared properly and the materials are set correctly, the surface holds up to years of daily use.
